I believe we're meant for more than just trudging through life. My textile work, with its rich textures and narrative stitching, urges a radical internal shift from monotony to genuine freedom. It's a reminder to "stop and look up" – to actively seek beauty and meaning often obscured by daily life. My art grapples with how societal pressures erode our capacity for contentment, arguing that true liberation isn't found externally, but through a re-calibration of values and awakened consciousness. Firework, with its depiction of unadulterated exuberance, embodies this philosophy, asking how we, too, can reclaim such profound joy.
